Ellis joined Plaza Associates, Inc. in the spring of 2014. In this role he has primary responsibility for drafting, negotiating and managing the commercial lease portfolio for Plaza’s various commercial property holdings. He also provides a supervisory and support role for all of Plaza’s active litigation, which consists primarily of collections, creditor’s rights and personal injury defense. Ellis serves as corporate counsel for all of Plaza’s diversity corporate holdings and provides counsel on a variety of issues. Ranging from employment law, corporate formation and structure, collections, homeowners associations disputes and materialman’s liens.
Ellis graduated magna cum laude from NC State University with a Bachelors of Science in Economics. He then obtained his Juris Doctor from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, where he graduated with honors and was an active participant in the moot court program and was admitted to the Order of the Barristers. When not at the office, Ellis enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah, traveling and supporting the NC State Wolfpack.
